THE CHANGING OF THE GUARD. THESE JUNIORS ARE NOW SENIORS

Like Damian these two players Chadd Greaves(left) and Andi Daniel (right) will not be able to play under 21 in 2009. Both of them will be age 21 this year.
Chadd have performed solidly for three years in this competition and will be missed. He was able to perform at any position he was sent to and was one of the leaders in the team.
Andi Daniel only joined the team in 2008 but he put in a very strong performance and made a big impact in the key. He helped Damian and Chadd keep the group as a unit.
Both of these gentlemen now graduates to the senior team and i am sure they will continue to make an impact there.

THE NEW FACE OF THE U21 TEAM.

Will these new players continue the good work done by the team last year? No one knows but what is very certain that they have a lot of talent. As long as they continue to come out to practice and show the commitment seen so far they have the potential to do well in the competition. There will be time for the group to become a cohesive unit.

CHECKER HALL BUILDING NEW YOUTH BASKETBALL TEAM

Damian Bovell says goodbye to Braves Under 21 team after last season. He turned 20 on November 30th 2008. He had two outstanding seasons in this league and he encouraged the other players to improve their games. The team will miss his on court leadership this year but he will be very involved in their preparations. He is quickly becoming a leader in the division 3 team also and is one of the challengers in the race for the MVP of both the Junior and senior categories.
